KinTime User Manual

Welcome to KinTime. This manual will guide you on how to make the most of this family time tracking tool focused on privacy, aesthetics, and performance.

🚀 Quick Start

1. Add Family Members

  • Click the + button at the bottom right of the main interface.
  • Basic Information: Enter name and relationship.
  • Date of Birth: Precisely select the birth year, month, day, hour, and minute. The app features “future-proof” validation logic, preventing the selection of dates beyond the current moment.
  • Add Avatar: Click the avatar area to select from your gallery. If no avatar is set, the app will display an elegant “checkerboard” placeholder texture.
  • After saving, your real-time timing card will appear on the home screen with a cascading animation.

2. View and Sort

  • Detailed Statistics: Click a card to view multi-dimensional statistics of “1 lifespan + 4 cumulative metrics.”
  • Physical Sorting: Use the sort buttons on the home page to adjust positions. Card displacement follows Spring elastic dynamics, making it smooth and stress-relieving.
  • Smart Buttons: Sorting buttons automatically hide based on position (e.g., the top item doesn’t show an up button) to keep the interface clean.

🛠️ Settings and Advanced Features

1. Data Backup and Restore (Important)

KinTime uses a brand-new ZIP export mechanism to ensure data security and cross-platform interoperability.

  • Export Backup: Go to “Settings” -> “Export Backup.” A file named kintime-v{version}-{date}.zip will be generated.
  • Restore Data: Click “Restore Data” and select the backup package. The app features a conflict merger mechanism: if IDs are the same but content differs, the local version will be prioritized.
  • Cross-platform Interoperability: This backup package can be imported directly into the iOS version of KinTime.

2. Unlock Premium

KinTime natively contains no third-party ads, providing a pure initial experience.

  • Unlock Member Limits: The default version supports basic member records. Go to “Settings” -> “Unlock Premium” to remove member count limits.
  • One-time Purchase: Complete a one-time payment through the Google Play billing system to permanently unlock infinite member expansion capabilities.

3. Global Experience

  • Multi-language Switching: The app is deeply adapted to 17 global languages. You can switch at any time in “Settings” -> “Language.”

🔒 Privacy and Security

  • 100% Offline: All your data (text and images) is stored locally on your phone. It is never uploaded to the cloud, completely eliminating the risk of privacy leaks.
  • Empty State Design: If no members have been added, the app displays a soft blue-style empty state to guide you to start recording.
